A Venezuelan court has sentenced two former American doldiers to 20 years jail term for their role in a May failed beach attack aimed at overthrowing President Nicolas Maduro.
Arrested in May, Luke Denman and Airan Berry were found guilty of conspiracy, illicit trafficking in weapons and terrorism.
The two convicts asserted to the fact that they had trained rebels in Colombia with the objective of using them to invade Venezuela to either kill or capture President Maduro for the US.
The other suspects are still awaiting trial.
