The matron of the organisation in the person of Nathalie Moudiki said that, the goal of the training was not just to train the participants and leave them on their own, but the secondary aim of the training is to train and accompany them through their different projects amongst which ten well elaborated projects will be selected and fully sponsored. It is for this reason that the participants were equally taught some business and entrepreneurial skills, how to come up with a good business plan plan that can attract findings, as well as some motivational talks to steam the engine.

According to the founder of LOFI, Thomas Nkeh, their target for the year 2022 is to empower 5000 girls and women in Cameroon, and to see about 1000 of them start their own business and be economically independent.

He added that in the wake of the ongoing sociopolitical crisis in the two English-speaking regions of Cameroon since 2016, they managed to sponsor over 100 orphans to school in 2018. They have equally distributed about 15000 bags of rice, 500 bags of salt and other things to vulnerable persons and women in prison.

Despite the crisis and the security challenges, LOFI has visited 5 villages in the North west region to encourage children to go to school in the “back-to-school” campaign 2022.

Germaine Ngeh, one of the trainees said that it was her first time to attend such a rich training, that she had learned a lot and promised to put tonto practice the new skills that she had acquired during the training, to become a better version of herself and to contribute to the development of her country and inspire her peers.

Amongst other challenges faced by LOFI, getting funds remain one of their major challenge due to the long process to have have an authorization document in Cameroon. This, the minister promised to get it done for them after seeing the great works that they have done and, because the government of Cameroon holds gender equality and Women’s right at heart.

The event also had as artist, Le Prince de Jesus who sang to acclaim women for the special and numerous marvelous things that they do for the development and sustainability of our society.

Being an orphan himself, the founder of LOFI, pastor Thomas Nkeh said that he founded the organisation because he would not want to seat and watch any other orphan or vulnerable person go through the tough path that he went through at a very tender age after losing both parents and with siblings.

From Yaounde in the Centre region, the next bus stop would be in Ebolowa in the South region of Cameroon.
