Iran: Gas explosion kills 19

At least nineteen persons have died and six seriously injured following a gas explosion at the Sina Athar  clinic in the north of the Iranian capital Tehran. 

A gas leak from a cylinder  is blamed for the massive explosion and fire. The gas cylinder  was used to store liquefied gas for medical purposes.

The Iran News Agency ( IRNA)  reported thst there could be more explosions because there were a number of oxygen tanks remaining in the medical center.

Emergency services have confirmed that fifteen men and four women  died in the incident.

The incident comes four days after an explosion. occurred near a military site outside Tehran, with the Ministry of Defence claiming it was caused by a leak at a gas storage facility. No human casualties were reported.
