Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the Moscow's Gamaleya Institute has developed the first COVID-19 vaccine in his country.
According to Vladimir Putin, the new vaccine is very effective and would offer a sustainable immunity against the novel Coronavirus.
President Putin has confirmed that the new vaccine named Sputnik-V has successfully passed all the necessary tests.
He has further attested that one of his daughters has already been vaccinated and that Mass production will commence in the days ahead.
Putin says that 20 countries have already ordered for the vaccine and that Mass distribution of the new COVID-19 vaccine is said to begin in October.
