In a tweet, Cameroon's Public Health Minister, Dr. Manaouda Malachie has thrown more light on the 600 millions FCFA, which the French daily newspaper Le Messager reported in its 02 December edition as money that the Minister spent just for fuel in barely 3 months.
Dr. Manaouda Malachie said that the money was fuel cost for the entire ministry and not for the Minister alone.
"Regarding this headline in Le Messager, I would like to specify that it is indeed the overall fuel costs of the entire Ministry for the year 2020 for the 150 authorising officers and not for the Minister. Distorting information helps to create some buzz and serve certain interests" the tweet read.
