Thesea the words spoken by 9-year-old author Sphosethu Gcaba, during her book launch last summer in her primary School.
Sphosethu took many people by storm, when she wrote and published her first book, titled ”Ukungcola Kuhle" which means "Dirt Is Good".
She intends to inspire her peers with this book to be more playful and enjoy their childhood by all means as it only comes once.
During her book launch, she was asked who inspired her to write her book. She explained that she got courage and motivated by her mother Nompumelelo Afrika Gcaba, who is also an Author of many books.
Sphosethu started writing her own stories everytime that she saw her mother busy writing and did not want to be bothered. And that is how it all began, today she is already in process of finishing her second book.
Sphosethu has inspired many people young and old, by her passion of storytelling at such a young age. She has left many people wanting to know to read more of her books.
Her first released books were published in her mother tongue to promote cultural diversity and language preservation. It’s currently translated in English version to reach out to her international readership across the world.
